Angry residents from the Mary Valley and Rathdowney
(site of another SEQ dam proposal) take their message to the streets
of Brisbane during the State ALP COnference. The government has touted
these dams as the solution to Brisbane's 'water crisis', an effective
pre-election stunt to convince Brisbane voters that action was being
taken. The reality, and the message being spread by action groups
is that neither dam will be any use in 2008 when Brisbane may well
run out of water.
